Right, at the mo my tank is 30"x12"x18", which is equal to 32 US gallons, right?

I currently have one 25w bulb, which means my WPG is only about 0.78, right?

Which means to get my WPG up to around 2-3, I'm gonna need at least 2 more 25w bulbs. Is this right, it seems very excessive to me? ( Just checking cos I know what my maths are like lol)

You could try out T5 power compacts, a 21" Power Compact bulb will provide 55w. That would bring you up to 2.5wpg approx (with the 25w as well...) And then with reflectors, it would take you a bit higher.

Power Compacts are excellent, and aren't much more expensive than T8s or regular T5s.
