Hi all,

Ive got a new 250L tank coming, transferring everything from the 220L which was my mums, so now it's my baby and I can pretty much do what I want :D

The tank comes with 3x39W T5 lights which works out to be a little over 2wpg, if i'm correct? All workings based on UK gallons.

I'm not planning on going fully planted and I cannot afford co2 at any rate. But I do want a few plants in there. I'll dose with TPN+ and plan to add plants such as some water wisteria, anubias, java moss and some crypts. The thing is, i'm concerned that my lighting might be a little too high and the fact that i'll have no co2...can anyone give any suggestions on the plants, if there are any more that might be suitable, and what i should plan to do based on my upcoming setup.

Thanks!

I think your gonna have to think about having C02 in some form. Is there no way of removing a tube?

I'll have to see if I can remove the tube when it comes, should be here on tuesday/wednesday. When I worked out the wpg, I also thought that I might find it tricky without the addition of co2, but I really dont want co2, there is absolutely no way I have the cash, being that I've just been pulled out of work due to back problems. So a proper setup of co2, is not something I can think about even in the near future.

And with diy co2 on a 250L tank, I dont think it will work...

I want plants, but trying to think of a way I can without all the problems.

I've been looking around, if I did have to go co2 would something like this be okay for my tank?
