I heard someone say Metal Hailde is teh best and how many watts for a 30g hex tall? I am planning on adding anemone after a couple months.

a 70W mettal halide... that will run about 150$ on ebay or www.hellolights.com

Haides will work for this but adding an anemone so soon is asking for trouble. No sooner than 12 mnoths before adding on IMO as they need a very mature tank and stable conditions

And I would go with a double ended 150w pendant.
