Lighting?

Ok so i really want a beta! I was thinking of getting a small-ish tank and plant it up nicely with some java moss. But all the small tanks i saw don't have bulbs! Does java moss need a lot of light?

Also, would it be better to have a heater or not?
And finally, what is the best size tank to get. I don't want one that's too big but i want the fish to be happy.

how about a 5 gal, heated and filtered, should be able to find a small light for it too

5gal is the best size to go for as your lil guy will have lots of room. You will need a heater no matter what but a filter is not a necessity. If you do have a filter it needs to be one with very low output so it doesn't cause to much current in the tank, if you don't have a filter you will need to do regular water changes.

You can pick up small lights that clip on the tank prety cheap
