Lighting

While I was at my lfs today I forgot to ask what sort of lighting I will need for the tank im going to get.

The Tank is a 4ft long on a wooden cabinet with a wooden lid on top. Where do you put lights on these sorts of tanks? And with a 4ft 60gallon how many kilos of substrate am I looking at needing, thanks in advance.

for my tank i had to have a sheet of glass made sepperatly to sit ontop of the 3 thin glass panels that were conected on the top of the tank. i then put it on top of the panels and added a light on top. mine is a 3 footer but going by the way u have described it uve got the same thing as me just alil bigger.
for my lighting i only have a single tubed reflector. im dumping this and adding a double tubed reflector with a white tube at the front and a blue one at the back. the reason for the blue tube is that it in hope it might bring out my neons colours more. so thay stand out in the tank.

P.S. for teh substrate u can usually buy it in 20 - 30 kilo bags. i would say u might need 2 or more of these give or take half a bag.
