Hi,

My tank is a 165 litre tank. It has 2 x 25watt bulbs in the tank..Now that makes it close to 2wpg. But i went to get a largeer bulb but they say for my length of bulb it is only a 25w you can put in...so i got an interpet day tube.

But can you not put larger wattage bulbs in place of the 25watt ones that are the same size?

Thanks

You can get compact T5 lighting which has a much higher wattage value for the lengh of the bulb than any other light tube... You will have to buy another light starter unit however...

Depending on the lengh of your tank, Compacts may not be compatible; Normal T5 tubes and starter units would be fine...

Living Seas supplies a range of T5 lighting; because of the lengh of your tank, click on Arcadia T5 Lighting... Not Compact...
