What are the reasons to have 10,000k bulbs (blueish)in a fresh water planted tank?

1)I know that they can penetrate deeper into the water (especially for deeper tanks) How deep I ask?

2)I think they can potentially improve the look of some fish and tanks….

3)I know for terrestrial plants, that blue bulb spectrums generally increase vegetative growth when compared to “red-er” bulb spectrums; is this true for aquatic plants?

Anyone else know ?

A recent post might help you out! :D

plants have a absorption curve for chlorophyl, i forgot the side of the spectrum they prefer :)

dont be tooo finicky with the lighting, as what GF said in that post , more lighting is merrier. Just play around in the 5500-7000 kelvin area, or normal daylight bulbs...
read that post its really informative on lighting kelvins

hope this helps
