OK I used to know the answer to this question but now that I need it I can't remember. Why exactly are you not supposed to use normal flor. lighting on a fish tank? Please don't say anything like "you just shouldn't" I want to know specifics. Does it cause wierd monsters to grow?:alien: will it give the fish sunburn? :*)
I'm not talking about a planted tank. I know why they need special lights. Just a plain fish tank. What is the difference between regular and aquarium flor. lights?
Thanks! :D

i don't think a normal light has the same intensity as a proper aquarium light. I do you that a proper light is vital for fish health.

I recently bought colored bulbs, anyone know if they do anything bad? The blue looks like moonlight, im gonna try and exchange it for pink or something.

So from what I'm seeing the "type" of bulb doesn't matter just the intensity? BTW I intend to use aquarium bulbs I'm just wondering why.
