Got a rio 240ltr planted tank i dont exactly recall the names of all the plants right now  some are looking pale and straggly and the bigger leaved ones some have brown bits and holes in places, i have recently started injecting co2, its nigh on full wack at the mo and dose weekly with floraboost,I do have some alge which is like a fine fuzz on the plants and a brown bushy type on some rocks. The lighting/bulbs are arcadias x2, i have just sand as a substrate no soils etc to be honnest i didnt know what was required 2 year back when i first set up ide like to add the compleat stuff its how do you do it while the tank is in operation that stops me. Im in awe of your tank pictures they are beautifull and ide like a little more than just a fish tan,a planted aquatic jungle is what ide like idealy and we all have to start somewhere
so i would like to know of what lighting is best for my tank size and plants, and if any one has mannaged to add a fertilizer subsrate while the tank is in use :look: would be greatly apriciated

Have a look at the pinned article on lighting at the top of this section of the forum.
