Lighting Unit Issues

I have a T5 lighting unit, which houses twin flourescent tubes. For a while now, only one of the tunes works. Initially, I thought the tube had burnet out but every now and again, both tubes will work. Can anyone suggest the possible issue that is causing this?

my old light unit on my old tank had same issue sometimes it would work sometimes not then sometimes it would flicker like it was going to start tried everything to fix it thinking the buld had to fine as it was flickering anyway ended up changing the bulb never had the problem again

That would indicate a faulty connection somewhere along the circuit.
