I recently bought a secondhand tank. The florescent bulb went out after a couple of days. The bulb only lists the watts and length. But when I went to the store there were so many kinds I didn't know which one to get. This is a brackish set up with only 2 live plants (rest are artificial). How do I know what kind of bulb to get?? Thanks

Since you have a couple of live plants in there, I'd get one of the bulbs for plant growth, like Flora Sun. If you read on the box it should say for optimal plant growth or something like that. :good:

Most plants that survive in brackish water require low-medium lighting so it's not too big an issue. As "dthoffset" said flora sun would be a good option, but it's up to you. Some lights give off different colours. Here is the Hagen Flora Glo
