So can you explain the watt lumens thing to someone who doesn't have a clue??

Or better yet, tell me if my 10W compactfluorescent is making my 5 gallon a low/medium light tank??

Watts is the amount of electricity used by the lamp.

Lumens is the amount of light produced by the lamp.

They are obviously related with more efficient lamps producing more lumens per watt.

10w over 5 gal. is low light.
