I've got two 900x450x400 tanks both with low to medium growing plants these have 25watt tubes for lighting .1 has a Trocal Plant & the other has a Trocal -special De-Lux Plant.I,ve just gone on the aquarium calculator and the results show for the plants that I have in my tanks that I need somewhere between 45watts and 75 watts.
how do I achieve this when 25watts seems to be the highest wattage I can find for these particular width tanks
Do I fit another tube into my hood?
If so would fit the same type or go for a different type?
Or would you change to a T5 system,if so which one would you recommend ?

The hardware or planted tanks sections would be a better place to ask this question but... Yes, just fit another tube. The same type, different type, it doesn't matter. Just have a combined wattage that suits your tank's volume.
I don't think you need to change. To be honest though, I'm no much of a plant person so I don't know much about this. Again, maybe ask in teh plant section about the correct lighting. It would depend ont eh plants also. Some need mroe light than others.
