Hi
I have jewel rekord80 (old i know but it does the job) it has the original monolux hood with 1 x 18watt light.
I am looking into adding more light from looking at the hood i can fit another tube in there right near the front its fine widthways.
The current light i have in there is 24inches but i am wondering if a can fit a 25watt tube in there being 30inches in there i have measured it and i have 30.5 inches of room???
Will the tube fit including endcaps?? i measured the current 24inch 18watt tube including endcaps and its under 24.5inches long, so im thinking i will just be able to fit a 30inch 25watt in there.
Does anyone have any ideas or have a 25watt t12 they can measure including endcaps. (i suppose it depends on the size of the endcaps)
If it does fit i will probably replace the 18watt aswell giving me 2x25watt tubes in a 20 gallon tan
Or does anyone have a better idea for me to add more lighting besides buying a ridiculously priced luminaire for a couple of hundred quid.
Help appreciated thank
