I have a 20w and an 18w T8 i believe in my 125L tank (not yet cycled) I have no knowledge when it comes to lighting but reading on the forums i have seen that T5s are meant to be better producing more WPG?
I have been on this [url="http
/www.aquatics-online.co.uk/catalogue/interpet-t5-power-compact-lighting.asp"]site and just looking at all the different ones confuses me!
I have only just purchased the T8s as recommend by the clueless LFS that also recommended me to get a clown loach in a 32L all by himself
(no wonder beginners make all these mistakes) So will probably keep the 20w T8 one and replace the 18w one with a T5, but which one guys? I am on a tight budget as this set up has so far cost me £350 at a guess (i dont want to work out the real amount!)
What worries me is this note on the site: PLEASE NOTE : Power Compact T5 lamps can only be lit with dedicated T5 Compact starter units, luminaires and other lighting systems designed specifically for compact T5 lamps. What does that mean?
I am also looking into getting reflectors for the lights, again any recommendations?
The lights i have now are 24"
Thanx for your patience!
