lighting for a 125 marine

i have a 125gl marine tank bought it and transfured everything from my 55gl into it. The lfs told me that the lighting that came with the 125 would be enough but i dont think it is. it is what looks like a home made balister system with 4 long balister lights. it's not quite as long as the tank but almost. Mabie i just need different lights im not sure if the lights in it are the right ones to be used. so what kind of balister light should i have?names and wats please if you know. how many lights should be on a 125gl? i just want to do what is best for my fishy friends.

Do the bulbs say anything like VHO? What kind of ballast is it?
Is the dia. of the bulbs larger than a normal looking bulb?

We need more info on what you have now.
