Lighting Advice.

I recently purchased a 2nd hand tank.it came with a arcadia 18w light starter and a 24w daylight bulb. I want a better/brighter light as my tank is 20"deep and id like to provide more light to my plants and enhance the fish colour.can somebody recommend a tube that would be suitable and im guessing i would need to replace the starter unit if going for a bigger wattage to?

Get some LED lighting, no starters just plug and go.
