Lighting Advice

As the title suggests, I have a rekord 120 tank and I am thinking of upgrading the standard 30 watt standard fit light. The bulb is 895mm in length. Has anyone modded the lid to take two lights or should I just upgrade the bulb to something aimedmore at plant growth?

I modified a Rekord60 single light hood to take an Interpet Power Compact T5, took about 30 minutes to cut out the original ballast 'box' and then mount the new reflector/tube clips. 15w > 36w which gives me 2.4wpg. The biggest individual PCT5 is 21" and gives out 55watts, you could use one or two of these or even go for two 36w 16" tubes which would give I am guessing around 2wpg.
