Hello,

I'm just wondering if I would need to use Halides to light a 2" deep tank?

I can easily get enough =fulro lights in to hit the 2WPG mark, but I understand that this light will disapate before it gets to the bottom, leading to issues with plant growth.

Has anyone else found issues in deep tanks?

Thanks

Steve

I take it you meant 2', not "(2")". :p

Unfortunately, that's about as much as I can do, other than suggest taller plants and perhaps a different hood with more bulbs, thereby increasing the wpg. Also, you could possibly go with low-light plants like java ferns (which survived and propagate in my incandescent 5 gallon tank).
