Lighting A 2 Ft Aquarium....

my tank is 2 ft deep and i`m looking at going planted with it will i need metal halides to penetrate the depth or will normal fluro tubes be ok?

I would think MH or T5's would be your best option. T8's probably dont have the penetrating power. But thats just a guess.
