imo yes. you just have to use reflectors so you direct the light to the tanks

Depends on whether they are incadecent or florecent. Incadecent IMO no as they generate too much heat. Florescent IMO yes, they are fine. Not particularly efficient at distributing light because of the crazy shapes, but alright for growing the hardies.
