As some of you may know, Im currently on day 34 of my fishless cycle, and yet to experience any ammonia drop!!
Anyhow, should the tank light be on or off??
I read that it should be on, but others state it should be off since it serves no purpose at this stage and will only lead to algae in the tank?

Ammonia + Light = algae.

Lights off :good:

I also thought it was too long. Tried a water change etc, and am over 10 days into a cycle after a water change as well, but still no ammonia drop. Sick of seeing the green test result now! lol

Im in Essex - already searched for people but no-one close enough to me unfortunately :(
