hi
i have a 15000k light and 10000K light, they r both 40watts. R they too strong for plants or is it ok?

It depends on your tank size - 40w is a lot though.

What size is your tank?

If your tank is between:
0-20 gallons : Very High Light situation (4+ WpG)
21-40 gallons: High light situation (2-4WpG)
40 gallons: Minimum ideal light (2WpG)
41+ gallons: Low light situation (<2WpG, add light)

These are all assuming you have a total of 80 watts. Unless you have a tank with a Very High Light situation, are dosing ferts and CO2 very well, you will find that lights with such a large blue content (roughly speaking, the higher temp, the more blue) will promote algae growth.

I'm looking at a 20Gallon tank now, and am planning to give it 110Watts in the day and a few more at night...
