I can not find one for the life of me. Is it impossible to find a unit or part that enables the actinic to dim to lunar like the natural setting sun and rising moon???

Ahhh!

thats right, you cant dim them as far as i am aware.

Get some blue LED and us them as moonlight. extremly effective and quite cheap

Yes you can, but there is a price to pay.

Icecap VHO ballasts are dimmable.

Get a Bluline timer/dimmer, an icecap ballast, and you are all set.

I linked the 1000 controller. It is on my wish list cause it controls lunar cycles and has a wavemaker capability also. Bit they do make a 750 model that simply controls a single ballast.

Theres also the New D-Deltec "dusk till dawn" T5's which dim morning and night as well as simulate clouds. IMO, you would be better just using some LED's like Navarre said. Although don't leave them on all night as some people do as depending on the type some can be quite bright and will do more harm that good if left on all night.
