Lifespan Of A Betta

I have a betta that is ~2.5 years. Should it be having a middle age crisis? How old have your bettas lived?

I've got a couple that are around 2 I believe..

A breeder I talked to said she has had one for almost 5 years.

they dont last much more then 5 years unless there really healthy and the average lifespan is like 2-5 years

I realised the other day that most of my bettas have never grown since I got them so you dont know how old they are when they come from a lfs. That is why it is better to get them from a breeder.
