Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share how good my lfs is. Don't get me wrong I know of 5 quite close to me and the other 4 are not ones I would trust at all, but this one has gone out of their way to help me 'again' and I feel they need a mention.
This lfs shut's on Monday's and Tuesday's, but you can leave messages on the answerphone. (They are on the premises at some point during these two days doing weekly maintenance to tanks etc, but they are closed to the public - fish before profit
nice to see).
Well I phoned and left a message that my pump was not working properly. They called me back and offered to meet me at the shop after I had finished work and give me a new pump (4.00 p.m.) (My pump is still under guarentee). I have paid no money or deposit and left with them saying "call if you have any problems with this pump", trusting me to bring the old pump back in on Wednesday when they are open again.
When I got home I found that this new pump was not working well either and phoned. They then took apart a tank with the same filter as mine in the shop and looked for any placed that might be blocked. Together on the phone we found a blockage and my original pump is working great again. (So I will take the new one back on Wednesday).
They did not really even HAVE to return the call, let alone meet me at the shop, but this lfs really does go out of its way to help their customer's, they really do care about fish.
So raise you glasses with me
and cheer's to a lfs that cares.
