Levels

What are the levels that my tank is supposed to be at. I have platys tetras and loaches and I have a 21 gallon

If you mean your Ammonia/Nitrite/Nitrate levels they should be 0/0/20-60. The lower the Nitrate the better though. Nitrates build up and water changes get rid of them.

ok thanks I also have plants.. They are turning a little yellow.. I just bought my a new hood and light for my tank...do u think thats why they are turning a little yellow?

It could because they are new plants, it could be because they are not aquatic plants, it could be that they aren't getting enough nutrients but that would usually take longer to show up. Post up some pictures of your plants in the planted tank section and ask. They will know way better than me. I am just learning about how to keep a planted tank.
