Leopard Molly

right, there are quite a few black streaks on the fins of my leopard molly and they seem to have gotten worse lately. He seems fine at the minute however there are 1 or 2 small black marks on his body too

note too that the black marks on the fins go in the direction of the "grain" of the fin for want of a better word

He's orange / white so this isn't right surely...

can anyone help me? Thanks

Mollies will change colour for most of their life. I have a marble molly that started off mostley white, but she is now mostley black. I also had a pure white sailfin molly that devopled black and blue lines on his fins.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Just make sure your ammonia levels are okay as I belive it is possible to get ammonia burns on fins if it is high. Some one else might have to comment on that.
