Yes mate, they have thier own living space and seem happy enough to me, no scrapping or squablling..

And I felt a 4" L134 and an 8" to be L075 was pushing it in a 35gal

And 8 inches doesn't qualify as a "beast" anyway. My pleco is 13 inches and not even full grown. If I'm not mistaken, I think there are a few members on here with plecos 18 inches and longer.
