Sounds to me like you might have an agressive angel. I also have one of those. I can't keep anything in his tank with him. How old is he/she?

A few questions:
How big is your tank?

Have you tested your water?

What size were the Angels?

Did the Koi have evidence of being attacked? Torn fins, lost an eye etc?

When you say "attacking its shadow", do you mean reflection in the glass?

It seems unusual for the introduced fish to kill the one resident in the tank. I would expect for it to be the other way around.

Don't buy another angel. The only way you can keep two angels together under normal circumstances (fish are individuals, so it may work on occasion) is to buy 6-8 youngsters and let them pair themselves off. Or buy an already mated pair.

Don't forget that angels are cichlids; the same family as Jack Dempseys and oscars; they can be a very aggressive fish.
