I posted this in the riccia thread, but no one said anything so I figured i would make it its own thread.
soo I was setting up a riccia bed in my tank a couple weeks back, and I didn't have enough riccia to cover the 2 rocks I had.... so I covered one with the riccia and one with ivy duckweed. I found this stuff growing in my pond outside. it came in with a bunch of hornwort I picked up. when I found it it was stuck to the inlet of the filter, and growing fine down there, so I figured I would give it a try. I did it jsut like a riccia bed with the hair net and all.

it looks pretty ugly there, but it gets a bit better.... still ugly, but better.

Soo it is growing really well, but its kinda ugly. I thought it was worth shareing though. my white clouds spend hours in there. I don't really know what they are doing, but they seem to enjoy it. I will give it a trim soon and see what it looks like then. let me know what you think of it. meh

Thats pretty cool, not exactly the same aesthetic appeal as riccia, but it looks pretty natural and is probably easier to grow submerged - I may try it in my tank.
