leleupi behaviour

hi guys...

I've recently purchased a group of 5 leleupi (which you might of read in previous posts), today i saw two of them locking mouths....i wondered whether this is likely to be two males fighting or whether possibly could be part of courtship??? i know its hardly romantic )

p.s. they are all juveniles, i got 5 to try and make sure a get a pair then as soon as i know the others will go back to my lfs

Yeah that is most likely fighting between males over a territory. How big is your tank?

its a 96l... i know thats i probably cant keep 2 males together in there... i do only want the one pair but i guessed that the best way to male sure a had one was to get a group of young fish

Yep that would be the best way. Usually they won't fight as much when they're younger.
