Led Lights

Been running a fluval edge tank now for two weeks ,no fish yet,the temp is set at 75f,but when the lights come on the temp rises to over 80f,Iam thinking of replacing the halogen lights which came with the tank with LED lights,which I think run cooler,anyone have any thoughts about this?

I also have a fluval edge, as of yet haven't noticed any temperature changes when lights are on or off.

Though using LED's would do no harm to you fish as far as I know. There are plenty of people that use LED's strips in blue for the 'moonlight' effect in which the LED's have done no harm, but there are mixed theories in where blue LED's do harm to the fish (getting off subject now).
