Led Lighting

led lights with cichlids, good or bad idea?
lfs reckon they bring out colouration......
is it good for the fish though?

There not good or bad.. but they dont give off alot of light if you know what i mean.. errm I cant explain its rather hard.
one of my LFS have them in there 125G show tank, they have the ice white and some blue ones dotted about the tank, they look lovely as a show tank in the dark black painted cichlid tank room in the store but I wouldnt have them at home untill I had overheads aswell and turned the LED's on at night only and then made sure that the other lights wernt on as long.
I hope I make sence.

well ive only just setup my tank and ive wanted LED lights for a lnog time so i thought while redonig it i mite aswell get some! i just have 4 pods with 4 bright blue LEDs in each they arent hugley bright but they do look nice! i onli have them on for 3 hours on a night
