*sigh* I just had a very bad experience. Earlier today as I was looking at my fry tank, I noticed that one of my wag tail platies was missing. This has happened before - I originally had 3, now I have 1. Anyways, the only thing I could ever figure out that happened to the first one was that it died and was eaten before I found it, and I guess that happened again. I didn't know why they would have died, but upon closer examination of the 3 remaining platies (2 mickey mouse babies), I noticed they were pretty thin. The 5 zebra danios in that tank have grown like weeds, so I think they are just pigging out and not letting the platies get enough food. Anyways, the wag tail is pretty big, so I put him in the 6 gallon tank with my bigger platies and such. Immediately, one of my croaking gouramis started chasing him, which I expected, but he wouldn't stop. I went to fish baby out to remove him, and found that he is now missing an eye. :-( I think he's going to die, he's in major shock. I put him in a breeder in that tank and maybe he'll recover, but I doubt it. :(

Moved the 2 other platy babies in with my falx fry.. I hope to fatten them up. :dunno:

*super huge hugs* Please make it platy baby....

He's gone. :byebye: I guess it's best this way, so he didn't suffer long.

comet - I forgot how old she was.... pretty decent age. I knew she was too big to get eaten, but obviously not too big to get chased and mutilated. :(
