Are they accurate? I've had mine stuck on the side of my tank for the past few days and during day and night its always 27, give or take a tiny bit of colouration either side. i mean this room is warm, but surely it can't be THAT warm.... my heater is set on 24, and rarely turns on nowadays. but even before that, the LCD thermometer said 27.
I'm using this: http://www.seapets.co.uk/products/aquarium-supplies/fish-tank-equipment/aquarium-heaters/thermometers/marina-lcd-thermometer.html?ref=googlebase

Call me old-fashioned or cheap, either way, I prefer this style...

The difference in price for a good old fashioned alcohol thermometer is nothing compared to the ease of use, and reliability of the old standard.

I have all 3. External stick on LCD, the digital one posted (you can get them on ebay for a few quid) and the alcohol one.

They ALL read slightly different from one, another.

I trust the alcohol one the most. I use the digital one for vague temperature matching, although temperature matching isn't such a necessity now I have a large tank.
