my oto used to clean the glass really well, but now he doesn't even suction himself to it anymore. He suctions to the plants and rocks but never the glass, which is the dirty part. My mom called and told me there was a bunch of algae and asked if she should scrape it off (she's taking care of the fishes while i'm at college). I suspect she has been giving him too much cucumber and he just sits there and waits around for it instead of having to go get the algae.

So should she scrape off the algae and just feed him cucumber or stop the cucumber and just hope he will start eating alage again? has anyone had their oto lose interest in suckin on glass?? ;)

When my cleaning crew gets lazy, I stop with the bottom-feeder discs. When they get hungry, they'll scrounge around for something to eat. The only thing available would be algae. :)
