Lazy Gourami

Hi all do i have a lazy gourami or is something wrong with her,when i see her in the tank i think theres something wrong ,cos she's either on her side at the bottom of my tank,or lays motionless on the bottom,the first time was motionless against a plant so i went in with the net and she swam away,iv noticed this for about a week,also when my silver mollies swim by her they cant resist but have a nibble.

There's definitely something very wrong. Fish (apart from a few, like clown loaches or oscars when they're having a fit of the 'sulks') don't lie around on their sides.

Have you testeed the water and done a water change? If the mollies are pecking at her, she needs separating ASAP, as that will only make things worse.

What species of gourami is she and does she have any other symptoms (ie, odd poop, not eating, loss of colour, ulcers, swelling, bloating or emaciation)?

hi fluttermoth no other symptoms but i feel that shes on her way out mate but with all the plants in my tank i cant get to her without uprooting the #41#### thing lol,i tried taking her out this aft but everytime i went toward her she dived for cover

It is difficult catching fish in planted tanks, I know only too well!

Try 'ushering' her into a container with the net; black plastic flowerpots (clean!) are handy for this, as the fish see them as a 'safe' cave.
