Probably someone being inventive with common names, there is a fish known as a "sleepy cod" which is actually a large sleeper goby (Eleotridae family) native to Australia which is known scientifically as Oxyeleotris lineolatus

ive just had a look on the internet and yes, i was mistaken it must have been sleepy cod has any body kept this species? summat fishy :)

CFC is indeed spot on, The Sleepy Cod (may of been labled Lazy aswell) is native to Australia and is also known as the Giant Gudgeon due to the size it attains. They get very large but I believe they are slow growers....

http://www.wetpetz.com/sleepycod.htm heres some good information on the sleepy cod right here 25 cm in home Aquarium 45cm in the wild so if you house it in a large aquarium I would expect it to attain a larger size than 25cm (especially if CFC housed one with his gigantic fire eel :) )
