So this is a bad photo of my aquarium xD

I'm not overly happy with it as it looks quite 'messy' and some of the plants have grown a lot, and as you can see have started to gather near the front center... not sure if I can just cut the ends of the plants to trim them back?

I'm moving soon so I will be getting a chance to change everything around.

Thanks.

Is that a Thai onion all over the top? Yes, they can just be trimmed back… at least that's what I've been doing for as long as I've kept them, and they haven't stopped growing yet ;)

I'd want to see some colour variation in the plants, and probably aim the fish closer to a biotope-like arrangement.

In my opinion it's actually a nice tank. The reason it may look "messy" to you is because all the plants you have there are pretty much the same shade of green so you could suggest that it lacks definition. Bear in mind, I myself am no expert at scaping but my suggestion would be to add some dark green (perhaps anubias) reds, and some brown plants.

Just a suggestion.

I have to jump on the bandwagon here and say that this tank looks really nice. I'd be thrilled if mine looked this good.
