Fish Fanatic
Well, I had 6 neons to start. ONe died the first week, probably from stress.
4 more were massacred by me in the great Ick meds overdose caper about a month ago.
We decided not to replace them, but the lst one was a vigorous little fish, very energetic. He would school with whoever would let him (Rummys most of the time).
Today, I found the last one floating (not sunk to the bottom, but floating). He was slightly puffy, smelled pretty fishy, had some real pale coloring on the sides and his belly was split or torn open just in one place.
I wonder if I should be concerned that some bigger fish might have turned psychotic (I think he might have been pecked a bit after he died)? Or that this one had some undiagnosed disease (he was great on Saturday, I wasn't home much on Sunday)? It wasn't that big of a neon, so I don't think that it was an old age kind of thing.
