Larger Fish With Tetras?

Hey guys, first post

I have had my 120l Lido for over six months.

I currently have 5 black neons and 5 normal neons, I want to introduce some slightly bigger fish. all the neons have been in for months and I am happy they have survived.

My dad wants a shark type fish, but having read about RTS and silver sharks, it seems both will not be good choices.

Can anyone suggest a bigger fish, my LFS have a display Lido tank with 4 Discus in and several Neons? I like the look of smaller shoaling fish next to a couple of big ones.

Some gourami would be okay, as would a pair of GBR's or Bolivian Rams...possibly a keyhole cichlid.
