Anyone know where online I can get a large tank with matching stand from?

I'm looking for something like 125UK Gallons, and at a reasonable price (i.e. not a rena).

Best I can find is a 90UK Gallon at around £300

ebay was a poor answer really and is not the solution to all of lifes problems

Ultimate Aquatics (www.uda.co.uk) does a 72x24x24 tank (150 UK Gallon) for £211, however there is no stand with that. but at that price, i think a nice wooden ood n stand can either be made or bought. making it yourself, under £150. buying, add another say £200 minimum.

When was it ever called a solution to all of life's problems? i don't think it was a poor answer.
Here's an example of a tank merely 10 miles from me.
It was a suggestion, not a poor answer.

Thanks, Paul.

Sorry, forgot to mention I live in Wigan.

Trouble with uda.co.uk is it's in Scotland and doesn't do delivery, so unless i walk, and put 4 wheels on it when I get it :p

BAS in Bolton will definately have something that size - seen tanks there up to 8 foot by 2 by 2.5. if thats big enough for you.

Also had an even bigger one destined for Bolton Museum aquarium they had/have on sale too!

Set me thinking that did...

Have you spoken to Pier Aquatics - they're pretty helpful?

Alternatively, this firm will do a 144 gal for £250?

Custom tanks

Never heard of em mind, just did a quick googling for 'custom tanks'

its also a good 75 gallons short of the requirement.

thats the problem with ebay and this kind of item. tanks large enough for this guys request are rare, esp for local pickup in your local area unless you live in a major urban area. or rather london. And there occurance is once in a blue moon.

A shop with a regular stock and either delivery options or local thats willing to order in for you from manufacturers is a much better way to go.

oh n was just havin a laugh bout the solution to lifes problems, never said you did claim that.

fair enough, i am currently trying to sell a 200 UK gallon tank on ebay... fits in a transit atleast. And have seen very large tanks going on ebay all the time.

but to be fair i live nr london, so options are larger, but Wigan isn't exactly in the sticks!

Now, I haven't dealed with these people before, but I have heard good things about them. And them being sponsors of TFF, you can now get a 10% discount ;) Just check them out and email them for a price

Pier aquatics arn't that good for larger tanks, last time i went in I think the largest they had was a Jewel 125.

It isn't practical for them to stock such large tanks as they don't have the display room.

I appreciate that PM - that's why I said talk to them!

Thought they might put you in touch with whoever makes their tanks :good:
