Large Growth In Frontosa's Mouth.

A customer snapped this picture of his frontosa and her unusual growth. I am awaiting specs on his tank and some info about the fish.

In general, what could cause a huge growth like that in the mouth? He thinks it might be parasitic.

Any thoughts?

Looks nasty and to be honest its bad and I doubt the fish will make it.
Check the gill area that should tell you if a parasite at work they will look red and inflamed, or pale with excess mucas on them.
Looks like a growth to me.
