Try Ebay
also www.adtrader.co.uk and www.friday-ad.co.uk both allow
searches by towns or postcodes.

You might look for a "maidenhead aqautics" store. They have a website with locations of shops. They have some larger tanks as I recall :)

The problem with Maidenhead Aquatics is they're mainly in the south. Try QSS Aquarium and Koi Centre, Bradford. Always happy to give advice, and have some pretty big tanks upstairs. Really good fish too.

Here's their website: www.qssaquarium.co.uk

Hope this helps! :D

Paws for thought (kings road) has some pretty big tanks but I wouldn't say they're especially cheap. however they do have a lot of ads for second hand ones in their entrancey bit. there's a pets at home at the colton retail park which might be worth a try.

pest at home will order you a fluval 1200 if you want - i think thats about 50gal - but I second the ebay vote - theres some lovely taks for sale on thereusually...

Eastbourne had one in stock when I went in, reasonable price so I had it :)

171 litres, which I think is 38UK gal :)

Not sure how big they go but Tong Garden centre on the outskirts of Bradford might be worth a look. Also, there's a garden centre in Knaresbrough which has a good fish shop specialising in tropical fish and aquatic plants. Sorry I can't remember the name but is a few years since I used them.

i 2nd that. Tong is good. though i wouldn't call it cheap. cheapest place i've found for fish tanks is a place just outside ikea. kind of hard to explain where it is but it's like go past ikea out the back towards huddersfield. I wouldn't buy fish from there but tanks are fairly cheap

Personally I wouldn't give Tong the time of day let alone my money since they gave my english teacher two goldfish and a common plec for a 2.5 gallon tank. :grr:

i've never had a problem with them and they always seem to know what they're talking about.

They have 55G(UK) tanks for sale and delivery at my favourite LFS in Glasgow - Tank + Cabinet + Hood all well made in any wood you want for £210 ....don't think that includeds delivery though.

Tank - 48*21*15.

If that's not too expensive for you left me know and I'll get the phone no.
