Not the best quality pics and the glass is old and scratched and I didn't want to disturb the shell so there's still some algae there. For some reason my females like to nest right up front. Showing off I guess.

Momma guarding the brood. Now at least a dozen and possibly more on the way.

Thanks, the fry are going to eventually be the start of a colony I hope to use for breeding and selling offspring. I've just got to find an LFS willing to sell them for me or find a local hobby group.

why not give it to your lfs for store credit or commission when its sold?

The shop I was going to sell them to is going out of business and I don't know who/what will be taking over the building. They are literally selling the shelves off the walls at this point so if another fish shop opened up there they would have to basically start from scratch.

I was right too, my other female has her own brood going on. :D No pics yet. I left the camera at home when I went to feed them at the office today. I did get this slightly improved one yesterday though of the first group. There are 11 fry but two of them are hard to make out unless you know where to look. One is just inside the lip of the shell and another just on the outside behind it to the right. One looks like a bit of black stuff but s/he's just facing directly at me.

My first female's batch didn't make it and she took a bit of a beating from the male I think but the other female is doing better with her bunch and several of them, over a dozen and the most I've seen out ever have been quite active the past few days. These also appear to be the biggest yet but still small and hard to get clear pics of.
