USA,
I found a great site that is located in PA that has some Lamprologus ocellatus "Gold" on sale for $4. But that isnt the good part, shipping is only $12! Which is great because everywhere else I looked is like $45 plus.

I want to know how many can I keep in a29 gallon tank? I read that someone kept three in a 20, and it has the same foor print, personally I think that is a waste of space, but I dont know many things about Cichlids. I also wanted to keep a pair of Julies, or something like that.

You should be fine with the 3 of them and a couple of julies...just be sure to have lots of hidey holes, as both species like to hise most of the time. :)

well I realized that the julies arent a good type to go with shellies, so how many would I be able to keep alone? The Ocellatus I mean.

Personally I would go with mid or top dwelling fish with the occies. Bottom dwellers will cop a hard flogging from the territorial occies. Something fast like danios are often used as dither fish with occies to curb their agression a little by having alot of fast moving targets to attack. It also makes your tank look more lively as there are fish at all different levels.
