Today when I walked over to my tank to feed, I noticed that the smallest of my yellow labs had died :rip:. She had a big hole in her side. She wasn't that small, just barely smaller than my male. the hole was narrow, and went most of the way through her. I originally thought that it was just bullying, but I don't think so now. Are there any diseases or parasites that you know of that would make a long slender hole in the fish's side? Should I quarantine the others?

Hi there. The hole will have been were others have fed on her after she died. Unless you noticed the hole before hand i doubt anything could do it so fast. I'd put it down to just one of those unexplained deaths. As long as everything is ok with the others that is.

he was just a girley man and couldnt hold step up. ha no im jk. i wouldnt be worried about your other fish, but what are the tank mates and what size tank is it?

Well, the other fish look fine, and I didn't notice anything before hand, so I guess that it is just an unexplained death. The hole seemed awfully narrow though.
