Hi

Iv`e had my eye on an L191 at a LFS for a few weeks now for a good price, what i would like to know is what do these fish like and need? I have some bog and mopani wood and it would be going in my community tank which is a 300L corner unit, more details in my signiture also will my other fish work with this plec? again they are listed in my signiture below!

i see no reason why he wouldn't fit in there.
bogwood is an absolute must for keeping a panaque, mopani is a bit too hard for them to rasp but they'll still go over it.
fresh veg should be fed regularly too, but as you already have a small panaque, you should already be offering these.
just try to avoid letting them have too much animal protein, its believed to cause bloat and other digestive problems in panaques

ive got a 5 l191 dull eyed broken line plec he likes cucumber alot and he is always an the mopani and bogwood oh and my plastic 40mm downpipe lol this is one of my favourite plecs

Thanks for the input I take it these fish get to a length of around 25cm which is slightly smaller than the L190 Royal?

these get upto 18" mate and the l190 ive seen at just shy of 2ft @ wharfe aquatics a whikle ago

no they don't, about 10" max for L191.

acctually more like 14" 38 cm 18" is a typo i was doing 2 things when i typed this lol
my mate who owns an lfs has got one and thats 12" mate

You're including the tail which most people don't. The SL measure is 10".
