well ive got 5 not fully grown kuli loach (3 striped brown and white and 2 normal brown) but 1 of the normal brown 1's has gone a sort of brown greenish mottled colour. it was just normal brown when i got him/her about 4 weeks ago and now just suddenly changed colour  could it be a disease :( or maybe its a stupid question.any help would be great thx. :D

Don't want to alarm you, but i got some pit bull plecs and two of them darkened in colour turned out they had internal parasites, as darkening in colour is usually bacteria infections, do they have a bloated look or sunken in belly.

no not rearly but come to think of it he/she dont seem to eat any thing and looking at it now it does look a bit on the skinny side. :(

Sounds like internal parasites, do they stick to the glass if so look at the bum to see if it is red and inflamed, and also if you can see anthing prutruding out of it.

the 1 that has it swims up and down the glass sort of in fustration maybe in pain :/ cant see if its bum is red and inflamed becus its in the "kuli cave" but i will tell you maybe later on or tomorrow evening.thx for the help so far. :D

just fed them and he came out and thankfully no he dosent have any thing u suggested its just his colour thats changed.but i was thinking could it be just his normal colour changeing as he grows or is that not possible with loaches?i know as clown loaches get bigger they can fade in colour but this kuli is only young so im probly absolutely wrong.any more suggestions or info would be great thx. :D

One or more of the fish are continually dark, ranging to black. They stand apart from the others and do not feed anymore. A slight bloating is often apparent The fish are probably affected with a flagellate infection of the gut Treat with Paracide-X.
